EU diplomat jokes DD delayed his resignation because he didn't want to take a taxi back from Chequers. Then brutally adds: 'We're already used to negotiating with Olly Robbins, so this resignation doesn't really affect the negotiations.' Ouch

Always knew Phillips was a loon but even she has surpassed herself with probably the stupidest tweet of not only this but any year

I’ve said it before: draft Farage. Sack May, give Farage a peerage, make him party leader and PM – at least until UK really does properly leave the EU. Too fanciful? Desperate times need desperate measures; public faith in democratic process now in danger

I wonder if she has these opinions for money or her brain is just a sewage pipe?

Definitely a paid troll.

Looks like Boris could be departing, apparently they're three votes short of a leadership challenge. She might be able to survive but her authority and credibility within the Tories would make her position untenable. Luckily for her she never had any authority or credibility outside of the aged Tory sheeple.

In what must be one of the most perverse political outcomes ever, the Tories will not rebel for fear of putting Corbyn in Number 10. All part of his Remain-by-stealth plan?

This aged well. Rats leaving the sinking ship? That would give them too much credit.

Er didn't think a Lord could lead the government from outside the houses of parliament. Wasn't that a major reason for Lord Halifax not taking the PM job wjen Neville Chamberlain was forced out

Where the actual fuck do the Tortes go from here? Rees Mogg, Boris Johnson? It's not exactly rich pickings is it!

That'll be exactly where they go. Or someone as a frint for them. They'll play the loveable bafoon card with Boris or the 1800th century inbred weirdo with Mogg. They'll likely win too with more and more shit poured Corbyn's way

It's not the done thing, hence why Alec Douglas-Home had to renounce his peerage and take up a safe seat when he became Prime Minister. I don't think there is any rule against it though. If Brenda asks a peer to become PM and they can command a majority in the Commons, they become PM.
