  1. 1. What is deemed as a "sackable offence" in modern football?

    • Gone 3 years without winning a single major trophy.
    • Spent over 100 million over 2 years only to finish mid-table.

    • Getting beat heavily by a mid table team on the final day of the season.
    • Only buying young talent that have potential but have no impact on the first team.

    • Identifying weaknesses in the squad but not dealing with them as they do not fit the philosophy.
    • All the above include........
    • None of the above.

Going into a 'must win' game v Basel to qualify for the next stage of a Competetion we've waited years to play in again, with the following team

Liverpool XI: Mignolet, Johnson, Enrique, Lovren, Skrtel, Lucas, Allen, Henderson, Gerrard, Sterling, Lambert

Subs: Jones, Sakho, Moreno, Can, Lallana, Coutinho, Markovic

What was BR thinking leaving those players on the bench when they had been in sparkling form around that time.

I had to read that a few times before I detected the sarcasm. What had them starting done to justify starting such an important game. Lovren & Enrique? Lambert? Enrique was that bad he was subbed at HT. His 6th appearance of the season, one of them being v Borough in the League Cup. Absolutely tearing it up he was. Lambert starting & predictably stinking the place out. I'm sorry, never thought about it the other way, Brendan got his selection spot on. Apologies.

That team for Real Madrid always makes me laugh.

Borini hasn't been deemed good enough all season bar a handful of appearances, not good enough against mid table dross, relegation fodder, whoever...but he was good enough for a prestige game against the European champions in the biggest competition going.

It is that kind of shite and the generally bewildering use of his squad this season with ever diminishing returns that really should do for Rodgers and his time here.

Really?

I'd be pretty surprised if board meetings didn't begin with Ian getting a bag of Peruvian out.

No chance Ayre's serving up anything but pub grub.
