I have a large Excel spreadsheet (about 11,000 lines) and I'm using OpenOffice.

A lot of the (text) entries in one column are identical and appear 100+ times.

Is there some way I can rank/sort them so that I can easily see what the least common entries in that column are?
Thanks in advance.

Pivot table. Click insert, Pivot table, highlight the column(s), ok, drag the column you want to rank into bottom left hand box and again bottom right hand box. Should tell you how many entries per value now. You can sort it highest to lowest from there in the same way you would when filtering it.

You're not using AdBlocker or anything like that are you ?  I use Firefox's built in one and it keeps shit I don't want to a minimum but it does have a habit of doing things like you're experiencing.  Some sites I end up using Chrome because they just won't work, even with the AdBlocker disabled.

Can anyone recommend a good adblocker. I've been using adblocker plus but it seems to have died, ie I get a pop up saying Adblocker Plus has stopped

You can use Adblock Plus but if your phone/tablet isn't rooted you need to set it up as a proxy server. It's not on the Play store but can be downloaded here

https://adblockplus.org/android-about

You are probably better off giving the Adblock browser a go. That is on the store and works without rooting or changing proxy settings.

If you are rooted, however, then this is way better than Adblock and is what I use myself. It blocks ads in free apps and stuff as well.
