Premier League Team of the Season

Picked on Sunday, I believe.

I reckon I'd go something along the lines of...

Cech

Coleman

Skrtel

Terry

Azpilicueta

Gerrard

Henderson

Sterling

Hazard

Suarez

Sturridge

Being objective you'd probably have Toure in there instead of Henderson but we've been the outstanding team by far and Hendo's been a massive part of that so he gets in my team.

Might be a case to be made for having Lallana ahead of Sterling or Hazard but I'm not going to make it.

Coutinho

Harsh on Allen, but he has missed a few games. So yeah, that'll do for me.

I'd say the certainties are Coleman, Baines, Toure, Gerrard, Hazard and Suarez. You can make a case for many players outside of those 6 certainties.

I don't think Baines and Kolo are certs. Shaw has been good and many defenders have performed better than Kolo.

Cech - most clean sheets, Marshall looks good but then he's basically doing keeper practice for 90 minutes

Azpilicueta - has kept Cole out of a team, even on his weaker side

Terry - ever present in a title (and boredom) challenging defence

Skrtel - goals, goals, goals from the Kurgan

Coleman - could easily be Zabaleta, but Coleman's attacking play catches the eye

Gerrard - enough said

Toure - contender for player of the year, scoring about 1 in 2

Lallana - could easily be Silva, but he's played his way into a (shit) World Cup squad

Hazard - dragged a somnambulant Chelsea attack into a title race

Suarez - "I'm just a goal machine, and I won't work for nobody but you!"

Sturridge - not just copious goals, but important ones

The front three, Toure and Gerrard pick themselves, but the rest are all up in the air. The fullback choices should be interesting as there's all of a sudden a glut of decent options.

Pretty much what I'd go for, but I'd be tempted to swap Lallana for Sterling due to his lightning pace. Maybe De Gea for Cech too, who has impressed me more with a worse defence in front of him.

The Premier League team of the season, voted from all views on premierleague.com (which is a lot due to the popular fantasy football game).

Ozil and Giroud?!
