All that women's prison stuff was definitely clichéd. It's like they just brought in the secondary cast from that women's prison drama from about a decade ago (can't remember the name as I never watched it but I do remember there being one) by picking the roughest looking prison officers. All the other stuff was very good though and Keeley Hawes has been a revelation in her role as Denton.

I only ever watched Prisoner... once and nothing of note happened in it. The show I'm on about was British.

Prisoner Cell Block H was so naff it ruled massively.

 

As for Line Of Duty, loving it, great script and top notch acting.

I too have been watching Line of Duty and can confirm its excellence. They have clearly done their best to make Keeley Hawes look as unattractive as it is possible to make Keeley Hawes look, and she's still sex.

Anyone still watching this? It is still great to watch but they do overdo certain things such as that police detective with the over-the-top northern drone, and the depiction of a stroke victim that looks like it was taken right out of a 'Think F.A.S.T.' advert.

Well that Northern bloke's voice is his actual voice so there's nothing he can do about it. It's gone a bit far-fetched but when the drama and tension is so good, you can forgive it.

Definitely. I'm right back on board after last night's episode. I've now got that thing of looking forward to the denouement but knowing I'll be sorry its all over

The interview scene was tremendous, terrific acting by all concerned. Keeley Hawes little smirk at the end; very intriguing.

Another cop show worth looking at is Suspects on Channel 5, directly after Line of Duty

Good ending. Didn't go for a grandstand finish, it just subtly revealed the truth that we all know from a different perspective. One line and Denton trying to save one girl ended up in a massive clusterfuck.

 

It's been quality from start to finish. Genuinely great TV.
