Robbie Fowler

Couldn't find a thread dedicated to 'God'.

Just watching PL 100 club: Robbie Fowler on sky sports. Still remember the day he left for Leeds, I was gutted and raging at the same time. One of the few things Houllier really fucked up on IMO.

Still arguably my favourite Liverpool player ever, the best finisher i've seen.

Had a smile on my face for a week when he came back under Benitez.

I agree with pretty much every word of this.

Got a bit emotional when he came on against Birmingham (I think?) for his second debut, if you will.

I did too and even more so for the split second I thought he had scored with that overhead only for it to be ruled out.

Best goal?

For me, the second in his quick hattrick against Arsenal. Summed up what he was all about. Quality movement, then a pass into the net, right off the post. Inch perfect. Anywhere else, the keeper saves it.

Between that, the Bergen away one, two against Villa (the Staunton meg and the FA Cup one off the post) or his first against United at Old Trafford in the Cantona comeback.

Nice on for posting that mate, hairs on the back of my neck standing up. The lad in the yellow away shirt behind him sums up exactly how everyone felt then. Crouch's reaction annoying though. Should have got on his knees and prayed at the feet of the man they call 'God'

One of our greatest forwards who can look back proudly on an illustrious footballing career; his post-retirement activites, less so.

His property stuff? I'd say he can be very fucking proud of it. He can be proud of his last shit. he is God.

Always loved that goal against Villa in the cup semi when he headed it from around the penalty spot about 6 inches off the floor (maybe memory clouds it as have never seen it since) and of course the eating the grass goals right in front of the bitters...

Favourite moment though for me the supporting the Dockers T shirt, how many players would do a thing like that...a great gesture from one of our greatest strikers and someone who never forgot where he came from.
