Fallout 4

Fallout 3 was the last game I got really into. Playing until daft in the morning, trying to do every side-quest. Classic game.

Didn't play New Vegas as much because it seemed really buggy. Might re-buy it for my PS3 if they've fixed them. I wonder if this will be released on current platforms too?

Loved 3 and because of the reviews never tried New Vegas

Hopefully it is set in a new environment with a new storyline so I can lose 100+ hours of my life again.

New Vegas is buggy, but it's a brilliant game, I prefer it to Fallout 3 in a lot of ways. If you loved 3, I can't see you not enjoying New Vegas, you can pick it up cheap enough.

I just didn't like the world design of New Vegas, it felt like they were trying to push you into certain directions and cut off parts of the map. I found myself just going between a few places until I got bored of the trip. The factions aspect also turned me off, it dominated the landscape and kind of took the fun out of a lot of areas loved the sheer anarchy of #3.

  • 1 year later...

Looking forward to nailing a ghoul to the Big Green Monster in Fenway Park with a railway gun.

Even if it doesn't end up being Fallout 4 but remastered versions of 3 and, to a lesser degree, New Vegas I'd be happy.

If it is 4 I hope they go back to the more cramped claustrophobic feel of 3 over the sprawling desert of New Vegas.

Can I get a hell yeah!!

Fallout 3 was an incredible experience, never played anything like it, Wandering the wastes with dogmeat as the sun goes down, sensational scenes. It's game like that which reminds you how good games can be.

"Sturro", that "In Brendan we trust" in your posts has quite a lot of people thinking you're trolling at this point.

I don't even have one of the latest consoles now, still on a PS3 (haven't played on it since the fan went into a crazy "hairdryer" mode when playing GTA V and I turned it off, thinking it'd soon be broken), and have a laptop, so can't really play the latest games (I have put dozens of hours into SMTIV on the 3DS though, but not really played that in a while either.) But honestly, I'm not sure if I'm even that bothered at this point.

This game looks good, could play brilliantly, but the first thing I think of with Bethesda is bugs and the game crashing after a certain amount of hours and a certain save file size. Will they have it fixed by now on the PS4? I don't think they will, and Fallout 3, New Vegas, Skyrim, three of the best games I've ever played, were all screwed up by the same thing. Glitches, crashes, etc. Fallout 3, when the expansions were added, was just unplayable really, and the last time I turned New Vegas on it froze/crashed and I never went back to it again.

I loved those games too and spend hundreds of hours in total on the three of them (and yeah, I preferred the more open wasteland of New Vegas too.) So at this point I'm not really that bothered. If I could get a PC in the future though and avoid the shitty crashes that the PS3 was riddled with with these games, maybe that'd be good. I might even go back to all of them.

Looks immense. I didn't like the companion system in FIII because they could get killed pretty easily, especially Dogmeat who was pretty thick. Craig Boone in New Vegas was boss as his weapon was bugged, one shot and he'd take anyone's head off. Plus he was nails generally.
