Must have been a liverpool fan as a boy. The ONLY pundit (including those that are "LFC LEGENDS") that actually does talk a bit of sense and seems to have a hold on what the average fan thinks. And obviously resists the pre-match speed unlike Jamie "if i don't keep a grip on this chair I'll fall off, and I must talk quicker than anyone else" Redknapp. Good on ya, Niall.

Never hides, gets more goals than any of our strikers, not afraid to try something different, reluctant hardman (!) who even ended Roy Keane's United career. Can be frustrating as hell but has a huge heart for a little guy. Hope to see him figure prominently against United and Benfica over the next week, particlularly in light of Morientes' and Cisse's current form.

Fucking amazing display by him today. If Arsenal didn't have him they'd be bollocksed. They are a shambles. Mind you, their injury list is pretty nasty right now. Not that I fucking care. 10 points clear. That is ace.

Your attention is required. I want to know the breakdown of readership on here and so I'm going to find out. Anyone who doesn't tell me which bracket they are in is a absolute twat of the highest order and deserves to be chased bare footed across broken bottles by rabid howler monkeys. Big nasty ones. I'm wanting to know the amount of fanzine readers there are on the site and if you don't read it what the reason for that is. If you tick the "Don't read" option on the poll then feel free to explain why you have chosen not to after sampling the wonders of the TLW website. Also, do you buy other fanzines either alongside TLW or instead of? How often do you bu…

Over half the threads now include whingeing about Chelsea, Everton or the mancs. What have we become? We are Liverpool FC. Let them worry about what we do, not the other way round.

Good article from the Guardian (Particularly Rogan putting them in their place!) Is Chelsea's era of domination good for the Premiership? Wednesday February 15, 2006 The Guardian Yes - Kenny Sansom; Former England and Arsenal full-back Everyone will always mention the money but there are many reasons why Chelsea's success has been good for the Premiership. Anyone involved in football will tell you that you can't buy success. True, Chelsea can spend millions on one player and if he gets injured they can buy another one. But last season when they won the Premiership they did so because they were the best team. I read an interview recently with Arjen R…

Was just wondering how old this hilarious piece of biting satire is? I don't mean old as in tired, as I think we all know the answer to this, I just want to know whether it started as soon as we started singing YNWA, or whether it's a more recent phenomenon. Also, anyone know who started singing it? The obvious choice would of course be the mancs, but they're often too concerned with our 'Liverpool slums'. Does anyone know?

Subject to a medical anyway http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N151430060214-1108.htm Liverpool can today confirm that Gabriel Paletta will join the club this summer, subject to a medical. Atletico Banfield centre-back Paletta, who is 20 tomorrow, has agreed a four-year deal with the Reds. A star player in Argentina's under-20 World Championship triumph in 2005, the highly-rated youngster is regarded as a strong, decisive and robust defender. Standing tall at over six foot and weighing in at 80kg his services have coveted by a host of top South American and European clubs. Paletta will become the second Argentine to play for Liverpool, foll…

I bought my missus some flowers and a nice present, but won't be going out tonight due to the match. She insisted on NOT going through a night of me texting my mates for the score and fidgeting in a restaurant and who was I to argue? We are now going out Thursday as it's my old fella's birthday tomorrow. Anyone else staying in to watch the game or going to the game itself? I had tickets for the match but didn't dare suggest that to her as she don't really like football.

Hope this is how its going to be. Crouch is good for us in away fixtures. At home we have a tendancy to hoof it up too him too many times. And it get bloody annoying. We hardly hoofed it today because we had to rely on footballers who enjoy it on the floor. If Rafa can spot out that Garcia is good off the bench and in home games and crappy in away games. he can definetly see that we play better football when he is not starting in our home games. However, he should start in away games for his ability to help the team keep possession.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Rafa is planning to transfer Robbie's brain into Cisse, a la Dr. Michael Hfuhruhurr in the man with two brains. The result will be the perfect footballer. What remains will be sold to Everton. It is believed that Robbie Savage is the by-product of such an experiment.

After a good three points against Wigan it's time for what could easily be a third place decider. If we beat them tomorrow, I think we'll have that third spot in our pocket. It's still a long way to go of course, but that's the way I see it. As for the team, it's hard to guess as the important games are coming thick and fast. One thing is for sure, Rafa will make changes. What they will be I don't know, but here's the team I'd pick: Dudek Finnan-Carra-Hyypiä-Traoré Gerrard-Sissoko-Alonso-Kewell Crouch-Cissé Riise is out both because he cost us a goal against Chelsea, but most of all because he struggled against Wigan. We will be up against Henry and van Per…
