Now after playing those school boys of the park am I being too over critical? After Giggs went through the back of Kewell and we should have had a penalty you have Giggs giving Kewell shit and Van Nistlerooy in his face. Gerrard sees this and just walks away to take the free kick. Is it too much to ask of your captain to stay with his 'mate' rather than walk away?

I've spoken to a few Liverpool supporters who tell me that the Mancs were singing about Lua Lua's tradgedy. I was in the Kop and didn't hear the song, but can anyone confirm this? If so, I'm going to write to some of the National Press to ask why they feel they can't comment on that.

ONLY at Anfield though, cause we could do a job on them, like we did on those Manc cunts, and get some revenge for our two league defeats. I'd rather face them at Anfield, than on a neutral ground, later in the competition. Apart from them, don't really fear anyone else in the competition. Anyone at Anfield will do though

Who does everyone think has contributed the most to the Liverpool way this season, apart from Stevie G and Carra which are always gonna be top 2 really. I'm undecided between: Pepe Reina - Brilliant first season so far, looks composed and willing to put himself where it hurts to save a chance. Brilliant distribution from throws but kicking bit flat sometimes Momo Sissoko - Again for his first season and being so young the fact that he has played so many games for us this season is proof of his impact. Improves his sometime wayward passing and shooting and he could be World Class or Steve Finnan - No better right back in England, I'm including Neville or as…

From Soccernet The Stamford Bridge pitch took a battering from heavy rain yesterday, as Chelsea beat Colchester in the FA Cup, but Mourinho insisted the surface was not as bad as it looked. He said: 'Sometimes you see beautiful people with no brains. Sometimes you have ugly people who are intelligent, like scientists. 'Our pitch is a bit like that. From the top it's a disgrace but the ball rolls at normal speed.'

He is a bit of a Judas Bastard, but he had a horrible in injury yesterday and I'd like to think we will all wish him a full recovery. I like Smith as a player, he reminds me of a Mark Hughes type no nonsense striker, he doesn't score many but defenders know they are in the game,he holds it up well and chases every lost cause. Marcel Desailly once said that he is a nightmare to play against. Some newspapers have been trawling forums recently and they seem to think we wish ill on him and sang shite songs at him, well the vast majority of us wish him well I am sure. He had an operation today which was a success and they have said he will make a full recovery. H…

Ok, Kismet not. All the same - the only team that Rafa hasn't sorted out yet & away mid week, the man loves a challenge, why not, could be fun.

Monday's draw for the FA Cup Sixth Round (1.25pm, live on BBC2 and Radio 5). And drawing the balls will be Jamie Redknapp and former barcode Rob Lee. 1 Middlesbrough 2 Newcastle United 3 Aston Villa/Manchester City 4 Chelsea* 5 Charlton Athletic 6 Liverpool 7 Bolton Wanderers/West Ham United 8 Birmingham City After Rushie drew us at home against the mancs last time, how about Jamie drawing us at home against the Barcodes, although as it will be a midweek game I'd love Chavski at home - finish off that 'can't beat the big 3 statistic'.

Just found out the husband of one of the ladies at work went on Saturday (Man Utd fan). Even though he is not from Manchester he absolutely hates Scousers. Apparently all we did was chuck coins at Smith and didn't applaud him (even though the player himself has acknowledged the applause). It's a funny old world (no mention of the Hillsborough or Michael Shields songs either).

I'm really looking forward to our CL campaign getting started again, and I have a good feeling about this match. The team pretty much picks itself (if Alonso's fit, Didi continues otherwise), bar the forwards. Reina Finnan-Carra-Sami-Riise Gerrard-Alonso-Sissoko-Kewell Morientes-Cissé I've gone with Djib this time as I'd like us to threaten their back line with some pace. Benfica will want to take a lead to Anfield, so they will probably have a go at us and leave some space for Cissé to run into. Crouch could of course also play instead of Morientes, but I think this kind of game suits Nando better as he likes to have little time on the ball, a luxury rarely af…

Apparently at the Arsenal game Slux Ex-Lax provided Benfica's coach with a list of our weaknesses and how to exploit them. It really worked yesterday didn't it.

..that the wee shrekesque throwback granny shagger hasn't scored for 12 matches? or maybe I am talking out of my arse. I am sure the commentator said it was 11 games before yesterday's match.

What you may ask? The lack of credit given to us by the Press or anyone else - we are not a great team they say, we do not have what it takes to compete over a season, there's no significant challenge to London's transcontinental money laundering operation (formerly Chelsea FC) - and best of all English teams can't win in Europe. Its as if they don't want to admit we exist, never mind are doing the one thing most of them have feared since February 1991 when Kenny shut the exit door behind him - rising from the ashes like the Liverbird on our crest and climbing back towards "our fucking perch". You disagree? Consider the evidence - first no English team can win in E…

It says in the Grauniad ... "Dietmar Hamann drew on all his experience while making a 22nd appearance of this campaign which entitles him to extend his contract for one more season." sensible buisness for all.

call yourself football fans? what real fans would glorify in alan smith breaking his leg yesterday? i know there is deep hatred between ye scousers an us mancs but sneering at a player breaking his leg? liverpool fans have always been regarded as fair minded supporters but yesterday sank to an all time low. ye deserved to win yesterday-no complaints but ye have only intestified the hatred we have for ye.what goes around comes around. utd forever.

Apart from a soft comment or two toward us. The Times February 20, 2006 Ferguson loses face in tactical debacle By Matt Dickinson Liverpool 1 Manchester United 0 THE STORY OF MANCHESTER UNITED’S decline can be told through one position — the one that, ludicrously, Ryan Giggs was asked to fill at Anfield on Saturday. It was as if Sir Alex Ferguson was deliberately advertising that he and the plot have been separated. We are talking, of course, about central midfield, or, as Rafael Benítez described it on Saturday, the most important area on the pitch. “People talked about it being the key area when I was six years old,” the Liverpool manager said…

Anyone booked through playhardsports? They've been advertising in the Echo for ages for the away leg but the website looks a little dodgy and you don't need a fan card to get the tickets. Anyone had any dealings with them before as I'm a bit scepicl about booking with them?
