Dalla Valle is regarded as one of the hottest propects in Europe, and Liverpool held off interest from several top clubs to secure his signature.
Lauri's father is Italian, and it looked at one stage as though the young Finn would end up playing his football in Serie A. He spent three months with Inter Milan before opting to return to Finland.
Europe's top clubs began courting him again, but despite Chelsea allegedly offering to double any other offer he received, Lauri opted to follow in the footsteps of compatriots Sami Hyypia and Jari Litmanan and packed his bags for L4.
His first few months at the club were spent in the u16s, where he averaged a goal a game, including a hat-trick against the reds' u18 side in a friendly.
Lauri is now a part of the u18 set up, and has been a frequent scorer so far. He can play as a striker, or in a more withdrawn role off the frontman.
