Re: Mean Machines Archive
Oh the emotion engine, marketing bollocks at it's finest. Funny thing is in all my years of gaming, no shop assistant has ever offered my their 'expert' opinion.

I've never got into the whole ebay experience out of laziness and fear of spending shit loads of money.

I went into a shop once and asked about Resi Evil 4 being out on the Gamecube first, the snotty little kid did some sneering geek noise and said "I think you have your information wrong", I should have filled his face in.

I watched the Xbox Live trailer for RE5 the other day. It looks absolutely stunning.

Aye it looks marvelous. There is nothing to get the juices flowing like a new Resi game.

I'll end up bidding £1,500 for a Nirvana record.

Ah, the Dreamcast. Excellent. Starlancer, ChuChu Rocket, MSR, Virtua Tennis, Soul Caliber. It still gets brought out when I have people round.

I much enjoyed Code Veronica and Shenmue on the dreamcast. Shenmue set the way for the 'freerole' GTA series.

Re: Mean Machines Archive
Reading through the list of NES games brings back so many good memories. Those were proper games and I still have the NES but none of the games work. I've tried the old blow the dust out of the system trick and wiping the cartridge but they are dead.

Makes you realise that the price of games back then was fucking expensive.
Mario 3 for the NES back in 1990 was £39.99!!!!

Tell me about it!
That's why it makes me laugh when people moan about the cost of living and taxes in Britain as if it's a new thing, we've been getting royally fucked over for years.
My mate went to Canada around that time and came back with shit loads of Game Boy games he'd paid about £7 for, over here they were about £25.

Re: Mean Machines Archive
Star Wars for the NES was £50. I've still got the sticker on the back of box.
