Ageia Physx 2.7 driver
Little Lurtz has told me tonight on MSN that he's got a 'free' version of 'World of Warcraft' and all he has to do to keep it free is to download and run the above app. Is it ok or some wierd shit?

The Phsyx Driver is is just an Nvidia Driver. There's no reason why that driver should keep it free. You need to know where he got the game from and where he got the driver from or where he expects to get it.

Reasonably small pieces of software like that are often bound to pieces of malware such as the Zango tool bar which means when you install the software you install the toolbar, the person who gave you the driver will get about 20p for everyone who installs it. The person who installs it will get annoyed by popups until they clean the shit out of their system.

Sounds very dodgy. There is no 'free' version of World of Warcraft. Before you can create an account you are asked to enter your retail CD key and then you have to pay a monthly subscription.

Not really. My advice is he's 12. If he doesn't install that he'll install some other shit on it to see free boobs and punanis. Just make sure there's nothing on whichever PC he uses that you wouldn't want to lose and let him do what he wants with it. He'll eventually learn to be dilligent.

It's for the Ageia Physx card that runs alongside a graphics card and processes all the the physics in a game like explosions, water effects etc (have one but don't have any of the games that use it)

Almost definetly a virus of some sort.
