Fuck, I wouldn't even spend £1,300 notes on Skynet.
Surely you can get cheaper than that in this day and age? They're selling duel core 1 gig memory PCs for £340 in Comet, with 19 inch monitors, and that's frigging COMET!

Re: New PC, is it worth price
that PSU looks under powered for the SLI
Id also try and get a raptor hard drive to put the o/s on as it makes things fly. For 1300 notes Id deffo want a raptor HD

Re: New PC, is it worth price
Can't really comment on the spec and price as l have'nt really kept up with the latest stuff for 3 or so years now. l built my own and used the coolermaster wavemaster case, they do make quality cases if you are prepared to pay around a hundred quid for one.

Are they selling them without the monitor and keyboard etc? If so - how much?

Dunno mate, doubt it though they tend to just package it all together.

The downside is they usually suck varying amounts of arse.
The cheapest of the cheap motherboards, with the most basic PSU that'll run the fucker, and low (some not even with a dedicated PCI-E slot) spec video options. If you're really in luck, it'll be bespoke motherboard/mountings inside the case so you can't even upgrade/repair the sod properly when it goes bang.

If so Alien Ware have a god rep. If I didn't build my own i'd defo consider one of these babies...
Alienware Area-51 High-Performance Gaming Desktop Computer
Or a Commodore....

For that kind of money, I wouldn't even consider a 65nm C2D, mate. I'd also expect a dedicated sound card.
I'd pass on that deal.

Re: New PC, is it worth price
Thanks alot for the input guys.
the problem with the lienware is that they dont include the monitor yet still charge as much, my old monitor is on the way out so wanted to include that in the new purchase.
