What browser?

Firefox is beginning to do my fucking head in. It runs the CPU usage up like fuck and the tabbed browsing only seems to work part time.

I'm not touching IE, so what are the other recommendations? I'm thinking Opera right now.

Re: What browser?

It sounds fucked. If the tabbed browsing isn't working then something's wrong so backup your bookmarks and reinstall. Should only take a few minutes.

Can you give me a quick explanation of how to do that? The backing up and cleaning the registry bit?

Re: What browser?

Defo sounds like a fucked install or something screwed in Windows (wtf is this thread doing here btw?)

First, install FEBE, which is a sweet extension for Firefox that backs up your entire Firefox profile.

Then, completely uninstall Firefox.

Then re-install Firefox.

Finally, re-install the FEBE extenstion and restore your profile backup.

Sound, done all that, although FEBE seems to have done it's thing on it's own.

Re: What browser?

It seems a bit quicker, but still a little sluggish. Maybe it's just my gash processor. I'll try CC and see how I get on.

Re: What browser?

Erm, isn't there a whole forum for you shadow-dwellers to discuss this stuff?

The above does not apply if it's a problem I'm having.
