I have Parralells installed, but it runs on limited processor power. So would rather do it with my mac pro, as its a monster of a machine

2 X 3gig Dual Core with 8gb of Ram

Schweet!

Not too far behind with my Hack, mind. C2D CPU overcloked to 3Ghz, but only 4Gb RAM at the mo. I keep intending to flash the BIOS on my 8600GT video card too, so I can have that overclocked whilst in Leopard. No software overclock solution as far as I'm aware for the Mac. One day...

Next upgrade is going to be a quad-core Q6600, along with a couple of larger HDDs. The Q6600 is nicely overclockable too. Built one for a friend a few weeks ago, got it from 2.4Ghz to 3.2Ghz without even trying, stock core voltage, stock cooler ect.

VisualHub: The Universal Video Converter for Mac.

Seems to be the best way

Re: Converting some Avi's to DVD with a Mac

Visual Hub is great.. I use it for making DVDs and for chucking dodgy telly onto my iPod. Shame it's XGrid support is broken in Leopard.

I'm thinking along those lines myself. Will have to get a new motherboard as well though, as the 775 socket on mine will only let me upgrade to C2D.

Only need to decide on a new ATX motherboard, and then Project Quad will be launched.
