Mandalay? Yeah I fucked him up, and I killed his secretary (shot her in the back with a shotgun while she went into his office to see if he'd see me) and also killed everyone else in the building.

See my post above, I planted a limpit mine on the toilet door, all that was left of her was her flange and her glasses.

I remember I once used the console to make the battle in battery park 100 times more epic though, I spawned about 100 UNATCO troops and 150 NSF troops then watched from the roof top.

Quality, nah you could cap the UNATCO guys all you wanted, in fact I took a few down with my knife while I was still on their side just because I was bored.

MJ12 troopers are where the party's at though.

I failed my C+ module because of that game.

It's fucking awesome, it totally sneaks up on you. At first you just think it's okay and then you go to Hong Kong and find yourself walking around a market at night trying to track down rival Triad gangs and before you know it you can't turn it off.

You're old allies become your enemies, your enemies become your allies, you choose which side to follow and who to kill/let live. There's also about three different ways to navigate your way through the game, you can get by without even killing anyone if you choose to.

The story is what it's all about though, the story just totally draws you in. And also note the absence of the twin towers in the first level, even though it was made in 1999!

The most killing fun I had was in Maggie Chow's apartment.

I shot her maid in the face and then dumped her in the shower - turned it on - and then shut the door.

I got killed by the maid last night for hacking the computer. I haven't loaded it up again yet, will do later, but she's first to die.

Edit - How big is the Hong Kong area that you first arrive in? I'm lost trying to get to grips with it.

Pretty big, it has underground tunnels, canals, lots of hidden crap, bars etc. There are lesbians in the club too.

Anyway if you go out of the window, Paul dies and if you go out the front with him he lives. LIVES! Though he doesn't do much.

The Hong Kong nightclub and the 'gatecrashers' scene is fucking awesome, I put one in the head of the lapdancer with my smiper rifle while she was surrounded by Russian sailors on the pool table, the weren't best pleased. fucking quality.

I took out Chow with a sniper rifle from across the street, turning her head into a fine oriental mist. When her maid came running into the room to hit the alarm, I took her out too with a well-aimed shot to the kidneys. The boys in the back were not happy.

What he said Karl, big and spread over a few joined maps. You'll definitely want to take a dip in the canals too. Although not alone at night, obviously.

Regarding the plot issues, whether Paul lives or dies doesn't affect the ending(s) as such, apologies if I gave that impression. I always thought it was cool because it's such an obvious "end of level" type moment in the game that the first time I played it I just did what he said and booked it out the back window. The second time I played through it, I went at the snatch squad like a mad bastard and he still got killed.

The third time though, I booby trapped the hotel. Oh, so funny...
