Bikes are much faster than karts Jim, you need to go through the pain of learing manual bike drift.

The two main tips for bikes are:

1) Wheelie at every chance you get. As soon as you are on a straight, pull a wheelie. Every speed boost you get, pull a wheelie.

2) Use the shoulder button (or whatever it is on the wheel) all the time, to control your manual drift around corners. You can control the angle of drift by steering left or right, which I find really useful. This means you can attack a corner from way back with a shallow drift, then lean into it and attack it when you get to the apex. The mini-boost occurs much quicker the more you lean into a corner.

i have no idea how to do that on the wheel. Hmm, I may have to get a GC controller and lose my golden steering wheel.

The GC controller is a thing of beauty, its so useful for MK (the classic Wii controller will do as well, but its just not as 'manly'). 15 quid from play.com Jim. Do eet.

Start by using Daisy on the mach bike, she is very easy to use (on manual drift). Also use the wheelie as much as possible.

I've beaten wiiksies time on the mario track using her.

No mate. I've only fractionally beat it to be fair, but will improve on the time later tonight and post up the new improved time.

I'll also put in all the friends codes off this thread.

Ok noodles, get on it mate. Online racing is a laugh, but so is beating time trial times by fractions of a second. There are some insanely good times at Worldwide level (I like the way you can pick a time thats just faster than your to try and beat too).

Shame you can't see how your mates have got good times though.

I will do. I'll throw my code up later.

Do you use the wheel? I use the remote and the nunchuk.

I can imagine there are some crazy times. I know a few shortcuts on courses and I'm very good on certain one's (Bowser's castle).

I've just learned that I can send my ghost data to a friends code so I'll check out everyones times and see how I fare. Let battle commence.
