Thumbs up Xbox360 - which model?
Any advice on whether to get the Pro or Elite? Or is it Premium now? And is it worth it if they are so unreliable?
Advice please?

The Elite is worth the extra few quid for the size of the HDD that you get.

Depends if you have a bird that cares what colour the box is. You dont want a blond one if all your kit is black and likewise dont want a black ( Elite) if all your skyplus dvd etc is cream.

Just dont get the halo special as thats looks pants.

Whatever model you get make sure it has the hdmi cable port.

HDMI ports mean you get a sharper picture when you plug them into your telly. I think that the name changes of the 360's will identify if it has a HDMI port in it.

Xbox Pro's are Premium's with HDMI
Xbox Arcade's are Core's with HDMI

If I'm completely wrong just look at the bottom of the box. It should have a HDMI logo on there.

I was in the same position in September and I went for the Elite. And it's a great decision as well, really quality machine. For not too much more you get a huge 120GB drive (and if you want to get lots of Arcade games or demos you'll need it soon enough) and you get the added perks of the system being reinforced against the Red Ring of Death.

I'd get an Elite without thinking about it, it's more than worth it.

I think all 360's now come with the better, smaller heat sink so the over heating problems should be minimal.
