Football Manager 2008 Handheld

Got FM2008 for the PSP at Christmas - had a little go last night and it's class. Anyone else got this?

how does it translate to the PSP, i take it the database is smaller etc? is it pretty true to the full version?

this could result in me getting a PSP

Ye iv got it, the player database is a bit smaller, and the match engine is only the old text system, but its a decent game. With Liverpool you get £28mil transfer budget to start with. I won the league, champions league and fa cup in me first season but after 10 games of the second season im still ro win. Decent game, worth having.

As biggaz says, the database is a bit smaller and the match engine consists of the text commentary - there's no match to watch.

There's some great benefits to it though, compared to the PC version. It runs really quickly and you can get a season completed in rapid time.

The navigation is easy also and the tactics have been developed a lot since last years version.

I like it because it isn't as complicated as the PC version, it's pretty much a classic version as it used to be. The format is what I fell in love with about the game originally and it's very much in that vein!

I'm ten points clear at Christmas. Torres and Kuyt are on fire - bought Ashley Young for £13M and he's doing well too. Great stuff.

Agree with you there. I like the more basic game too. Worth getting for sure.

Re: Football Manager 2008 Handheld

I got this a few weeks ago and i must say i prefer it to the pc version. It's definitely a much scaled down version but it's also faster and easier to navigate through. I've gone through a few seasons already on the handheld one but i've only a few games in to my first season on the pc one.

I started a few different games but finally settled on Benfica. I won the league and cup in my first season. I started a new game then with Liverpool and i won the league in my first season there too. I bought Vagner Love for around 6 million and he was quality, scoring 30+ goals. I lost the league cup final to Newcastle and went out to Leeds in the third round of the cup. The champions league was a disaster too, going out to Milan in the second round. Second season with Liverpool, 2nd in the league and still in all competitions and the fans are protesting, what the fuck ? I sold Torres alright and now the fans are unhappy and so is the whole squad. Still though i won't go until i' fired. I'm still in with a great chance of winning the league and a few cups, some people are never happy, eh ?
