Yippee for me. I will also be playing it tonight. How better to celebrate my 1000th post.

I know of people who play online straight away before release day Wiiksie without getting banned. You do run the risk of being banned if you do. Even if you dont go online straight away the xbox records times & dates of when the game has been played in your machine.

The way around this is to unplug your xbox live, remove your hardrive and sign in as a guest user.Then on release day when you go on live you don't run the risk of having your xbox banned.

Flashed means the firmware has been changed to play back up games. The latest Stealth firmwares allow you to play online without them realising your playing with a backup game. Thus meaning you dont get banned.

Its quite a tricky thing to do yourself. Depending on which make of drive and model number it is inside your xbox you can get it flashed leagally at Bowlers computer fair in trafford Park, Manchester for a cost of £30-£60.

Unfortunatly though after this has been done in most cases you do lose your microsoft warranty as the xbox has then been opened and the warranty seal has been broke.

Cool. I thought Xbox live could always detect a modified machine, hence the reason I've never looked into it.

PS3 has bluetooth headsets but I doubt it will be cross platform. Wouldn't it be a nightmare getting PS3s and 360s to talk to each other?

Ah, see I wondered whether that was what Nick meant. I was just answering whether those features would be in the PS3 version too. You're right, the PS3 and 360 can't even be in the same room as each other without scrapping, so it would be a nightmare.

The flashed 360 is banned from live and has been for ages.

I have 2 one for online and one for offline, as i missed playing football against my mates and a new Core one is only 150 quid

I'll be buying GTA IV on Tuesday like everyone else

My first port of call will be Zaavi, thats where I got MK Wii and they had hundreds of copies.

edit: titting tit wank tit tit arse. Just realised I'm going to Ze Fazerland Mon/Tues to scope out some work, so won't be able to purchase/play until at least Weds. You lot will be way ahead of me by then!
