Your thoughts on the Wii please...
Thinking of getting one as they look a good laugh, is there many games out for it and are they anygood? Just want to get one for when we have our mates round for cans as i'm not addicted to playing my playstation anymore.
Thanks.

Just got one yesterday ( Ostensibly for my daughter ) following a recent party at a mates where it was quality. The sports thing is a good introduction to it , but don't do the Boxing if you're as unfit as me !!
Best reviews on other games seem to be Tiger Woods & Zelda

Re: Your thoughts on the Wii please...
I've got one and I think it's great fun. Playing Tiger Woods 2008 at the moment and it rules much more than the one I used to play on the pc.

This is an excellent console - I guess not for expert players, but if you like having a laugh with mates, then this is the console for you. Its cheaper - but the controllers etc add up
Tiger woods 2008 is a must by game
By the way, you`ll definitely end up with a shoulder rotator cuff injury if you buy a Wii

Re: Your thoughts on the Wii please...
Good if youve got kids or live in a shared house with people who will play with you.
As an actual games machine, I think its poor but that might be because I played the games released when the wii was. Black steel or whatever it was called was truely appalling.

I've heard that the Tiger woods game is brilliant but is there anyother games you recommend for it?

Resident Evil 4 and Medal of Honour both for use with the attachment to make the controllers into a gun (its not a real gun before any yanks get carried away).

Re: Your thoughts on the Wii please...
Zelda is one of the best video games I've ever played, and Wii Sports is totally unique post-pub mayhem. Haven't got Tiger Woods 2008 but I can imagine it works well with the wii remote.
Not enough 9/10 rated games for me though.

Where did you get yours from mate? They seem to be hard to come by at the moment. I know its still a while until Xmas but I want to get one for my daughter as soon as I can, I hate going shopping from November onwards.

Re: Your thoughts on the Wii please...
Tiger Woods is great and is even better when played with a load of mates having a few beers and a bit of banter.
My missus completed Zelda the other day and reckons that it is one of the best games she has ever played.
Wii Play is also good if you have a few mates round, we also have Big Brain Academy which is just ok.
My missus got that Trauma Centre game which I just don't like, someone bought me Shrek 3 for it (am not sure why) and it is shit.
Resident Evil is great on it, you use the remote as a knife and can get very quickly carried away when stabbing the zombies, am looking forward to the new one which will actually be specifically designed for the Wii.

Re: Your thoughts on the Wii please...
Great fun, interface and control are amazing.
Lack of quality games. But Zelda is the best game I've ever played
VC is brilliant.

Re: Your thoughts on the Wii please...
I bought mine about a month or so ago via a Danish internet shop. But all the normal shops also had them.
