Halo 3
Only 22 days away lads. Going to be the game of the year and century it looks like. It's also received more pre orders than any other game in Xbox history.

It looks shit hot. Thoughts?

Two guys I work with have requested off that day solely to play that game. They will pick it up at midnight and probably stay awake for 40 hours playing it straight.

I have it on pre-order, but won't be taking the day off to play it.

I have never been drawn into the hype of Halo, even though I love first person shooters.

If it's as good as Gears of War then that will make me a happy camper.


Actually picking up the new Medal of Honor Airborne game tomorrow.

More excited about that. Love shooting me some Nazi paratroopers!

I'm going to get Medal of Honor. Ill be extremely happy if it pisses all over Gears of War too. I'm just going to go and pick it up in my lunch hour in college.

I'm gong to be spending heavily on games this year though. World of Warcraft, Bioshock, Fifa, PES, COD4 are all on my hitlist.

I loved Halo on the PC and if Halo3 is released on pc, I'll deffo get it. More than anything, I'm waiting for HalfLife2 episode 2. Bring it on.

Got my copy yesterday. Not overly impressed. To be honest I got the game for the single player mode, not really into the whole online experience thing.

The games graphics are really no better that Halo 2, and there nothing terrible different in the features or game play to make it stand out as anything other than a good FPS.

Nowhere near as good as Gears of War.

Y'see, I didn't really like gears of war; it was very repetitive.

Dive behind something. Shoot. Jump out of the way of something else. Shoot.

It's so dark that the environments all look the same, and there's little in the way of storyline to keep you interested.

Picked Halo 3 up this lunchtime. It's sitting on my desk, taunting me. "You've still got over an hour of work left... pretend to be ill..."

When Halo 1 came out, i thought, this is the best game I have ever played. The quality of the game in terms of graphics, engine and storyline did it for me. Halo 2 was eagerly awaited and it disappointed so many as people expected it to be much better than 1 because 1 was so good and the thought of, it can only get better coupled as well as several delays in releasing increased the expectation on the game. Halo 1's engine was cutting edge and to improve the game to a noticeable amount for 2 was already a difficult challenge for Bungie. For Bungie to create the game with the next chapter of story and the ability to play multiplayer online with extra maps was I felt a realy good achievement. Halo 3 - the storyline has continued in the great way 2 did from 1. So far the engine seems to flow just as the 1st and 2nd so I haven't really noticed any difference there but if it ain't broke don't fix it. The graphics on the other hand in HD on a full HD telly 1080p is absolutely fantastic. 5.1 surround sound added to it makes it really good for me, and I have enjoyed the game so far.

Agreed. The graphics are amazing, and I've only got a 32" CRT. I kept talking to the Arbitor. "Hello Arbitor."
