This year's PES V. Fifa
I haven't even gone next-gen yet and haven't bought last years round of games for the first time in forever.
I've always been a fan of PES over FIFA, but even a couple of PES diehards have been commenting on how good the new FIFA looks.
Any recommendations? Any better on one system or the other?
cheers.

Ahhhh, it's a nerd thing!
Let me see. I've always leant towards the PES myself, but even I must say how good the new FIFA looks. That said I prefer Voyager to both of them.

PES always beats FIFA, it's the way of the world.
Electronic Arts can suck my balls.

Very much not so, Noos. The gaming demographic is a real healthy demographic, we are king of the marketplace, all companies want our business because we rule so hard, we have so much disposable income that it's actually offensive and are so cool that they have even considered paying us to buy thier tat.
Not knowing what PES is may just about be excusable, if he'd have said Pro Evo and you didn't know it would officially have made you a nonce.

Re: This year's PES V. Fifa
The last computer game I played til the end was Metal Gear Solid which I must say, I found ace. I also used to have FIFA 2001, but that's it. I'm guessing the FIFA is a game derived from my old game, and Pro Evo is Pro Evolution Soccer, which I've heard of, but know nothing about.
I do wonder how grown ups find time to play computer games. I could spend days on the playstation when I had nothing else to do, but work, wife, kids and this fucking forum eat up my days!

Re: This year's PES V. Fifa
Thanks Robbo, much appreciated. I don't want to feel the wrath of the Bronson, I'll behave from here on out.
I just read today that in the new Fifa you'll be able to play 5v5 online, where each player is locked in to one position and the rest of the team is control by the standard computer AI. EA says that in the upcoming years you'll be able to play 11v11. that's going to be insane.

Re: This year's PES V. Fifa
Gameplay over graphics for me, so Pro Evo all the way.
FIFA will have to pull an absolute masterstroke to out PES PES.

Re: This year's PES V. Fifa
PES has always had the gameplay, fifa has had the options and licences...
I have been a fan of pes since day 1, but konami have turned into lazy conts that are now taking their fans for a ride......They make little change to each version now, and are just lucky that ea aint got their gameplay right yet...
Fifa has a shit load of options in it this year...So hopefully they get it right and make konami get their fingers out of their asses...We might have a proper virtual football match up between the 2 this season.
