Just played the FIFA 08 and didn't really enjoy it at all.

Played the demo the other day out of curiosity and it was just like last years. Utter garbage.

Played demo for an hour now and its easier to pick up then pro evo 6 was.

Torres looks fuck all like himself on the game but other then that the graphics are good, especially the pitch which looks superb.

Control wise they seem to have made it easier to dribble with the ball which i cant make my mind up about as its bordering on the Fifa way of been able to dribble past 4 players then dispatch it into the net.

Still buying full game but its nice to get practise in now before full game and going online arrives next month.

It sounds like they couldnt be bothered to try for the 360 again like Pro Evo 6.

I wrote that summary after only playing the game on Beginner level - once you up the level to Regular you start to appreciate the game more.

On the demo you only have the choice of playing as Brazil, France, Argentina, Spain or Turkey (Turkey been the weakest).

Due to our Spanish players i chose them and one thing that struck me is David Villa is superb in this game. Get the ball to him and let him run at the defence.

If you have a fast player such as Villa he will out sprint most defenders so getting him on the ball and letting him run at the defence will get you chances but in all fairness in real life a player like him would do this.

There was nothing more frustrating in earlier versions of Pro Evo then you getting the ball to Henry and a defender Weir catching you up. This has been addressed and made it better.

Played against Turkey a few times and there players diving in the area so were booked and told to get up by the ref.

Plays far better then FIFA and you can get some great fluid football going.

I would have to say ignore my original post on the demo as once you improved the difficulty setting it a great game and im looking forward to the launch.

Yeah its great, when I picked up PES6, it was a real struggle, I don't think graphically its that much better, but it plays like a dream.

Fifa 08 on the PC...

It's not bad, but it's no PES. Seems a bit badly coded too. I can have PES6 with full AA+AF, the lot and it's silky smooth and looks totally tits. Try the same with fifa and it's not bad, but it does stutter a bit when things are getting a bit heavy.

Worst of all, Voronin has short hair. They'll pay for that transgression. Oh yes, they'll pay...
