Re: PES 2008
I was totally gutted with the fact that no matter what game it is,
Fifa, or pro evo. Liverpool are still shite compared to united arsenal and chelsea.
Even fernando torres used to have stats in the 90's but now he's signed for liverpool hes down to the 80's in everything, even his pace, as soon as someone signed for liverpool he gets worse according to pro evo. Christiano ronaldo couldn't be more over-rated either, If hes running at you, get 6 defenders to help or your fucked.

You can edit that still right? It won't take effect on the online play, but you can make him faster for your single player and in-house multiplayer stuff.
I'm really torn over whether to get this or not. I still only have the PS2 and the game just hasn't changed much. I remember how excited i was to play the Master League when it was in its first and second year of existence, but other than adding a player growth curve, it's the same fucking shit.
I'd almost like an xpert 11 version of the game. All the great game play and all with fake/player created teams. None of the having to change team names and correct player names. That way you could actually have "Clit Rovers" and "Shit Lightning" as playable clubs.

Re: PES 2008
Apparently the PS3 version has 'severe' frame rate issues and Konami are considering patching it. Another Sony own goal, although it's technically Konami's fault.

Re: PES 2008
PES can get fucked now they're in direct competition with FIFA. Before they released an updated version when they had one that was a real improvement, now they just release at the same time as FIFA.
Fuck you Konami you bunch of fuckers.

Re: PES 2008
Got to be disappointed with it so far, the PS2 version has no of the added "extras" that I saw advertised, the diving or shirt pulling do not work and rumour has it they are limited to the PS3

I don't think that has happened since it was ISS Pro on the PS1.

Calm doon man, they just release one a year. FIFA do "road to the World Cup" and other licensed up monstrosities. Konami will always be better than EA Sports!

Re: PES 2008
XBOX 360 things I've noticed.
Diving does work.
Master League Is improved.
Commentary is incredible compared to previous pro evo's.
There actually is a half time and full time analysis.
The opposit manager is amazing and the commentators announce if he has tactically outplayed you at the start of the match by talking about the formations. If he has you need to change especially on the hardest level, They will just pass the ball around you and play for a draw, In D2 of master league anyway.
It can be very frustrating but realistic in a way that the commentators announce that they look like their playing for a draw against stronger opposition.

Re: PES 2008
It always happens. PES is still good, but its going the way of FIFA with it becoming 2008/2009/2010 editions now. Same happened with WWE games.

Jerk off you jerkoffing knee jerker, since when have Konami released a class boxing game like Fight Night or a great golf game like Tiger Woods PGA Tour? I've always been a Pro Evo fan, but the last Pro Evo was the final straw; Licensing, Shit Refs and Lack of Online Updates did it for me and now i've jumped ship to Fifa, were they will be realeasing a 'Be a Pro Online 4v4' mode and just a normal online Multiplayer mode.
What's not to like?

I dunno about boxing, I like the Tiger Woods games but the day I jump ship from PES to FIFA is the day I stop eating sausges. Don't care if we're called Merseyside Red or whatever, it's all about the gameplay and PES is king.
