What type of gamer are you?
This Bioshock news has lead me to this . .
I dont like Doom style first person games. They annoy me. I like to see whats happening to me. I prefer GTA full person mode.
So which do you prefer?

I prefer first person to third person gaming in general. Third person gaming is associated more with "illiterate" gamers (ie console gamers) I feel. First person viewpoint is way more immersive. In games which have both first and third person (eg Thief Deadly Shadows) the difference is palpable.
That said, the GTA games are among my favourites of all time, so it's partly a horse-for-courses situation. But in general, first person.

I think GTA is a special case because it's brilliant, but I prefer the first person jobbies since all the way back to Castle Master on my Amstrad CPC. Some of my favourite games ever were first person. Love(d) Doom 1 + 2, Quake, Unreal Tournament, Halo, Heretic, Rise Of The Triad, Hexen, Wolfenstein, Duke Nukem 3D etc.

I like good games not that arsed about 1st person/3rd person or whatever. It depends really. Would chess be good in the 1st person? I don't think it would.

I'm ace at games in general, but utterly wank at first person shooters. I tend to just spin round panicking while a mate very calmly shoots me in the back. I just turn retarded when faced with first person shooters.

I panic on all games bar driving/sports related ones. On PE6 i end up running away from the fucking ball instead of holding my position.....fucking nightmare.
