Re: Football Manager Online
People behind a router will find it difficult to host unless they can forward ports, if you can do that then you can host. Simple as really.

Yup. Need someone who is directly connected to a Modem to host.

Re: Football Manager Online
Well guys, in the Championship game Monkeywool has hosted we have all been assigned random teams. These as follows:
Monkeywool - Southend
This Is Anfield - Colchester
Malarkey - QPR
As you probably know the board expects us all to fight bravely against relegation. Monkeywool is position 2nd in the league after 5 game. This is Anfield is positioned 20th after 5 games. And yours truly (Malarkey) is positioned 4th (On the same points as Monkeywool) with Monkeywool beating my +3 Goal Difference with +5.
People who are going to be joining the game soon are: PhillyBurkhill, Kurt, Ted and Carradona. There is sure to be more twists in the tale in this one. I will post another report when the next save and quit happens.
Thanks All,
Malarkey

Re: Football Manager Online
I think the broad philosophy is when enough online we play, so more than likely we will play this weekend as well.

Re: Football Manager Online
Yeah, hopefully we'll get some more on tonight. Some more managers would be good though, more competition for me and my Blue and White army. Can't wait to play Monkeywool, though. It'll be a class game.

The host (monkeywool) isn't online, but if hes on tonight we'll play. Just make sure you've got the 7.0.2 update and everything sorted and your raring to go!
Are you any good at it, Kurt?

I have some moments... some teams do well...some rubbish. My only experience in an online game is that it takes longer time, and I ended up signing loads of players while waiting for others to conclude their businesses...
not sure I have that update...so i`ll go looking for it as we speak...

This weekend, well during the day on Sat I will be on, Sat night I will be back up north visiting folks, from Sunday till Thursday I am stuck in Manchester unfortunately on business so I do apologise - I only knew about it today. Re: Football Manager Online
Good shift in the real life Managerial sector of TLW. Kurt managed to join us today and got off to a good start with a 3-0 victory away from home. He currently lies mid table in the Championship after getting off to a good start and maintaining his good consistent form.
This is Anfield is still struggling to find a good run of form with losses and draws still being the only results he manages to find. He is expected to fight relegation bravely and he is doing so by losing matches by the slightest margins, and showing lots of character by scrapping and fighting his way back into to games to earn a point. To reflect this, he fought back from 2-0 down, to 3-2 up, then conceded two late goals to gift the game to My in form QPR side at Loftus Road.
The two southern high flyers ,QPR and Southend both remaind the most consistent sides by beating teams and getting at least draws away from home. Southend gave themselves a psychological early season boost by putting four past QPR at home. The game was evenly matched but it was the the clinical finishing of Monkeywool's Southend side that took all the spoils that day.
So to summarise, Colchester look in trouble after a slow start and are struggling to gain form that could prove crucial in the relegation battle, they currently lie at the top of the relegation zone.
Sheffield Wednesday look healthy under new ruling at the helm, with Kurt taking over the reigns and getting off to a flying start. They have Colchester next game which could be a potential banana skin for the in form side.
QPR and Southend are currently on par form wise despite QPR boasting a higher league position than the Shrimpers. It's still early in the season but the two are trying to pick up early points so they are not drawn into a morale draining relegation dogfight towards the end of the season.
I'll bring you the last update of the week tomorrow when This is Anfield's Colchester take on Kurt's Sheffield Wednesday.
