I voted PS3 as that's what I have.

The 360 has better third party support for games and superior network play at the moment according to the magazines.

As it stands, 360 is way superior in terms of games available, online play and general features. But id say the ps3 will catch up in a year or so.

There wont be a great deal of difference between them. At the mo the 360 is miles better due to already going through its bedding in period. Basically If you want to use blu-ray get a ps3 - if youre not fussed get a 360

I have a 360 so will be biased, but there are better quality games out on the 360 at the moment.

As Fink says, if you want a cheap Blu-ray DVD player then the PS3 is the way to go, but games wise, the PS3 will take a couple of years to catch up.

MS are buying as many top game licenses as they can at the moment to steal some limelight from Sony, as GTAIV will have exclusive content and only the 360 will have PES7 and FIFA this year.

make sure you look at the games you want to buy as has already been pointed out that the x360 has much more of a library. i generally only buy 2-3 games a year (PES, Madden, and an RPG) so it's usually not a big deal as both systems have those games.

there's been a lot of news about developers (even SquareEnix) bitching about how the PS3 is so hard to program for, which is why even when the PS3 catches up graphics-wise (and will likely be better than the x360) it still won't have all the games the x360 has.

lastly, depending on what kind of TV you have should play a factor too. a 16:9 TV plays the games waaaaaaaaaaaay better in my opinion. but beyond that, if you don't have a TV that will utilize the blu-ray player of the PS3, there's no point in paying for one.

EDIT: I have neither system, but have played both. PC RULES BABY!!!

At present PS3 presents no real value for money. It's blu-ray player is useful but the step up to HD is not as impressive as some people would have you think. It's price is way too high for a console that does exactly the same as the 360 for now. In it's favour is it's free online service but for now it would be a 360.

Isn't GTA IV only going to be released on the 360? That would be a pretty big deal for me.

As for the poll, I had 2 360's and had to take them back as they kept freezing. Its a typical microsoft product, poorly built shite. Sony for me. Unfortunately I have to make my cat go on the game in order for me to buy one.
I'll wait for PES7, RE5 and GTA5 and then I'll buy one.
