Argentinian youngster Gerardo Bruna’s excellent free-kick was the highlight of Liverpool reserves’ 3-0 win over Wigan Athletic at the Academy in the Lancashire Senior Cup 2nd round yesterday afternoon. In a game played in very strong winds, Liverpool overcame a slow start to produce some excellent football and were full value for the win. Craig Lindfield and Jordy Brouwer bagged the other goals.
