The Liverpool Way is delighted to announce that Kop Football Ltd and Hicks Holdings LLC have secured a deal to take control of the website and fanzine with immediate effect. Regular readers will be aware that TLW has been struggling to stay financially viable for some time, and we have been looking for sponsorship for a number of months. It has now arrived in the unlikely form of Mr Hicks and his family.

TLW Editor Dave Usher said today: “You can imagine the initial shock when I was approached by Tommy Hicks Jr about the possibility of the Hicks family buying a controlling stake in TLW. The fanzine and website have been amongst the fiercest critics of Hicks and Gillett, but after lengthy discussions with representatives of the Hicks family, we are happy to put all that behind us and look forward to a bright future for TLW with the financial backing of the Hicks family.”
