Liverpool u18s had most of the play but went down to a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at the Academy this morning. After a dull first half in which neither side really threatened, the reds livened up after the break and created several decent openings but were unable to convert any of them, and United struck with 12 minutes to go to grab the points. David Amoo (pictured) went closest for the reds, his shot going inches wide after he'd shown some nifty footwork.
