Ajdarevic strikes again but u18s held by blues

Swedish starlet Astrit Ajdarevic scored another cracker from outside the box, but Hughie McAuley's u18 side were held at home by Everton despite battering the blues for most of this game. Marvin Pourie hit the post and also had an effort cleared off the line, Ben Parsonage was also denied by the woodwork and Nathan Eccleston saw a goalbound effort headed off the line by a defender as Liverpool completely dominated at the Academy this morning.

The blues equalised from a free-kick completely against the run of play, but even after Liverpool midfielder Sean Highdale was dismissed for a second yellow card late on it was McAuley's men who continued to set the pace. Pourie and Eccleston both had chances to win it towards the end, but somehow Everton escaped with a point.

We will have a full report on the game later this weekend
