All season long people have been trying to write off Peter Crouch, but it takes more than a spell on the bench or a broken nose to kill off Crouchamania. The big man ran wild like never before, and Arsenal’s beleaguered centre back pairing of Toure and Gallas just didn’t know what had hit them. A friend of mine said afterwards that he hadn’t seen a better performance from any striker anywhere this season, and I’d have to agree.
