Second half goals from Ray Putterill and Stephen Darby ensured the reds ran out comfortable winners in the end against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. Putterill continued where he left off in the first half, and put his side in front 12 minutes after the break when he curled home a brilliant shot after a flowing passing move in which Adjarevic was prominent. It was a fantastic team goal, magnificent football and a great finish.
Putterill almost added a second not long after, but his diving header was brilliantly kept out by the home keeper. From the resultant corner Darby rose highest to head home Adjarevic's inswinging kick. Putterill and Flynn could have added to the score, whilst at the back the reds were largely untroubled.
We will have an in depth analysis tomorrow.
