Stephen Warnock made his return from injury as a second half substitute, but Liverpool reserves slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Bolton Wanders tonight. Ricardo Vaz Te's disputed first half strike proved decisive, as the reds were left cursing their luck after dominating the game for long periods. Idrizaj had a goal disallowed for offside, and also had a header cleared off the line. Danny Guthrie also had a shot cleared off the line, whilst Peltier and Roque were denied by the keeper as the reds just couldn't find a way through.
Paletta and Roque were excellent at the back, whilst El Zhar was a constant handful for the Bolton defence, and Guthrie was as industrious and creative as ever.
We will have an in depth report tomorrow.
