Danny Guthrie struck on the stroke of half time to draw Liverpool level against Blackburn Reserves at Morecombe's Christie Park ground. The reds fell behind after three minutes to what looked like a Godwin Antwi own goal, although Rovers midfielder Thompson claimed it. Gary Ablett's side produced some good football without threatening too much, until Guthrie combined with El Zhar and then volleyed in at the back post in the final minute of the half.
