Hearts move for Potter hits the skids?

Darren Potter's move to Hearts has hit a major snag after the player's agent called the deal off on Saturday. Hearts agreed a fee with the reds some time ago, whilst personal terms with Potter had also been agreed. However, when it came to signing the contract Potter's agent discovered things he wasn't happy with, and cancelled the deal.

It was not believed to be a major problem, more of an administrative cock up, but the agent then became concerned at the amateurish way the Scottish club handled the situation and he pulled the plug. Hearts are seen by certain people at Anfield as something of a cowboy outfit, especially in view of some of their bizarre transfer enquiries. The collapse of the Potter deal won't be seen as a great surprise to the Anfield hierarchy.

The deal for Potter may not be completely dead as the player was keen on the move, but Hearts would have to show a lot more professionalism in the way they conduct their business and convince Potter and his advisors that they can be taken seriously.
