Liverpool reserves are currently goalless with Sunderland at half time in their Premier Reserve League clash at the Racecourse Ground. The reds have dominated possession, but have created very little against a poor Sunderland side. David Mannix has had two long range efforts saved, and Paul Anderson went extremely close with a crisp 20 yard volley.
Sunderland were reduced to ten men after 27 minutes when centre forward Smith was given a straight red after a shocking tackle on Miki Roque. Luckily the young defender was able to continue after lengthy treatment.
