Everton looking to raid Anfield
May 28 2005
David Moyes has targetted several Liverpool players as he looks to bolster his paper thin squad for next season.
Djimi Traore has been a long term target, whilst Stephen Warnock is another player Gollum is extremely keen to take to Woodison.
Reports today claim Didi Hamann is also on the wanted list, and there have been whispers that they're interested in another of Wednesday night's heroes, Vladimir Smicer.
Traore's agent has been claiming all season that the deal which almost took Djimi across the park last summer is still set to go ahead, but the player told City FM on Thursday night that "I love it here, I want to stay at Liverpool forever".
Apparently Hamann's response to today's speculation was: "Fucking no chance"
The German is still hoping to have a future at Anfield, but unless the club offer him a new contract it seems likely he'll be off to Bolton.
Sam Allardyce is also keen on Vladi, but faces competition from Birmingham and several clubs in France. Aston Villa may also come into the equation, having snapped up Vladi's best mate Paddy Berger.
Warnock meanwhile, is being chased by a number of clubs, and may well depart Anfield this summer. With only one year left on his contract, the club may decide to cash in on a player who's transfer value has increased considerably after his efforts this season.
