Seems a bit daft come to think of it.
Also had another game called Stuck in the Mud where if you were tagged/ticked/tigged or itted (ahem) then you had to stand with your legs apart until one of your team crawled between them.
I think the world would be a better place if we all still played those games on our lunchbreaks.

We played something similar but there were 2 people who were "it" and the arm was to trap someone between you on the lines, then that person was also on your side and helped trap the next person and so on

Tick is played by proper kids. Kids who come home covered in shite after a good game of togger on the field, jumpers down for goalposts, and finishing off with a good game of tick.
Tag is played by sweaty men in saunas called "Browndirts"
It was Tig where I live, short for Tippy Tig I believe.
Other games included British Bulldog where you would have a line of people in the middle of the pitch/playground who call someone out then that person has to try and run through to the other side without getting stopped, else he joins them in the middle doing the stopping.
Also Hunts. There was ordinary Hunts, where everybody in a team gets a letter to make a collective word and when caught you had to submit your letter for the other team to piece together. Then there was Tickle Hunts, Murder Hunts and later Rape Hunts. None actually went as far as rape or murder though, the raper/murderer had to stop once he/she got your letter.
It was a refreshing change from throwing bricks at the cops/soldiers.

And before you starting squealing scandoboy, I do believe it is, or certainly should be, a forum rule that if you make a poll, adding "other" as an option does not give you a get out if you miss a popular option off the poll. "other" should be for rare exceptions only.
