Good shout for the good cop/bad cop thing alone. Exley and Vincennes (Kevin Spacey) was also good, especially with Exley's handling of Johnny Stompanato and Lana Turner. They both saw the funny side and it showed that Exley didn't always have a stick up his ass.
EDIT: Some people are misunderstanding the thread title it seems.
