Newman & Redford, Clooney & Pitt
It’s not a very original comparison to say that Clooney and Pitt are the modern day version of Newman and Redford. They’re loved by the ladies, but still admired by blokes, there’s the older dark haired one and the younger blonde one, they are/were both mates away from the screen, have been in films together, there’s the left leaning politics of Newman and Clooney, Pitt and Redford seemed to be just pretty boys (they even look pretty similar) but showed a bit more depth as their careers unfolded, etc.
The question here is who is better?
Obviously if you go on films made together Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid and The Sting are old classics, whereas Ocean’s 11 and Burn After Reading were watchable, the other Ocean films were poop. But Pitt and Clooney have made some quality films individually, and obviously gorgeous George has written and directed some good stuff too. Pitt also produced The assassination of Jesse James... one of the best films of the last few years.
Anyway who do you reckon will go down as better when all is said and done?
I’m intending this to be on film work, but if you want to vote on manloveness go right ahead.

If I know my fellow forumers, and some of whom I really don't want to, I would not be surprised to see Affleck and Damon win this battle

Too close to call for me. I'd fuck all four of 'em.

Re: Newman & Redford, Clooney & Pitt
Has to be Newman and Redford, although if they were all at the height of their powers I'd fancy Clooney to oust Redford as Newman's running mate.
Pitt is shit. He smells worse than three year old toe cheese.

I think they're all ace, but there's only one Butch and Sundance.

The first rule of this thread is that you don't talk about this thread.
And that's why the newcomers pip the old timers.

George and Brad are OK for some, but ignore these at your peril
I'm off to fulfil an inexplicable desire I have to crush a grape.
And........Yes......That is a euphemism.
