Even that was a monumental fuck-up though. The whole 'beauty' of the original arc of Darth Vader was that he was esentially a good guy who gradually becomes bad, but the one line "the boy is dangerous master" in Phantom Menace basically undoes that whole storyline and concept in one fell swoop.
Even Yoda says he senses something amiss with him, but they let him get trained up anyway (the fuck?!?!)
In the Heir to the Empire trilogy of books, it says Luke 'fell' to the dark side when he sliced Vader's hand off in Jedi, and even though he came back from the brink, his decent was so much more realistic.
I despair of the prequels, they're the Julian Lennon to the originals' John.
Agreed... Luke succumbing to his anger/hate to protect Leia was superb and what Vader's slide was suppose to be like...
Not the storyline that was attempted in the Prequels. It was a real shocker for me to hear the Jedi in Phantom Menace.
Thier fucking shite, shameless cash in's, which add NOTHING to the original trilogy.
I loved the originals, REALLY loved them, but even now I feel their tainted by the prequals. I sat down to watch New Hope last week and was totally apthetic towards in.
Gerorge Lucas has ruined two things I used to love. Cunt. How he dies of bad AIDS.

His mother was impregnated by them don't you know.

oooohh, I never expected that. A prequel film above one of the original Trilogy. But I suppose Jedi is fairly pap compare to episodes IV and V (it still fuckin rules mind).
Mine would be
A new hope
Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Revenge of the Sith
Attack of the clones
The Phantom menace

Thats the order for me too. We could be brothers.

The prequels are fucking awful. It's hard to believe the same George Lucas behind the magnificent original trilogy created the abomination that was the 'prequel trilogy'.
Here's the best version of Revenge of the Sith, by the way...
TK man what's going on??? ROTJ had the best space battle ever commited to film!
We've all pulled that Ackbar expression in our time, usually when watching F**tball.

I don't know mate, I just really love Sith whereas Jedi doesn't do it for me so much. It's not dark enough, like the Ewoks it's "fluffy and light" Star Wars. Luke and Vader's battle does rule though, I'll give you that. As for the space battle I prefer the one at the end of IV, but Jedi's is good. The worst is the space battle at the end of Phantom Menace - worst battle in all of the films.
Koona t'chuta, Solo?

Their was some making of programme on earlier for the animated star wars shite.
They were going on about the style of star wars and the style of the animation when up pops George with his little pearl of wisdom along the lines of 'I don't like CGI, especially the realistic type of CGI animation you see lately'.
Explains why the prequels were packed with shit cartoony cgi.
