I too, am old and sad, and that does sound like a superb weekend apart from one or two questions. Actually, just one: Mrs away for the weekend, result. Rioja, result. Radiohead on the stereo, each to their own. Frankie Vaughan, really does age you my friend (my mum loves Frankie Vaughan (give me the moonlight...), each to their own again; Jazz cigarettes, though? What is a jazz cigarette?
Jazz cigarettes?

I think it what Roger Mellie used to smoke, or is that Jazz mags I'm confusing it with. Ah wait no George Melly.
Ahhh fuck is it probably spliffs.
My weekend will be shit, official. Sober tonight, moving furniture tomorrow for a mate, Sunday promised missus (Stupidy negleted *ball fixture list) to go for a ramble and cook roast dinner.

Re: This is what I call a Friday night
Can't beat a Friday night in. I went the boozer last night to see some 'band' but wasn't happy until the leather couches were vacated and I could sit my arse down. I then spent the next hour dreaming about a chicken wrap and having a sound night's kip.

Re: This is what I call a Friday night
I'm considering going up to HMV to buy Batman Begins and sitting down to watch it with some sort of food, possibly tub of Ben and Jerrys.
If this is my Saturday night as an 18 year old I dunno what I'll be doing in 20 years.

Superb,
Nah the ice cream is a true sign that you're a young'un, when you get to my age it'll be a packet of bombay mix.
HBO boxset and a packet of nuts and raisins , that's what I call a party.

Now we're talking. If any DVD in there has both a 'HBO Original' sticker and a 'Special Offer' sticker on it I can strongly predict that it's going to be purchased.

Tonight is a few beers, out for a Thai, then back to watch as much of The Wire season 4 as I can before falling asleep.
Rock and Roll.

My plans have now changed, as I've seen that Oh Brother Where Art Thou? is on filmfour at 9pm. Saves a trip to HMV.

You got that right bro.
'Who said you could be the leader?'
'I thought I would lead since I'm the only one capable of abstract thought'.

About to set off to my n*gger's for a few swift ones before heading off on the razz, the mandatory four double whiskeys and lemo each before closing time will also be getting sank.
hope I enjoy the ride

Re: This is what I call a Friday night
Yep my wife is away for the weekend too, being playing on the XBox till 4 in the morning in between visits to Youporn. Just bought All Quiet on the Western Front for 4 quid at Tesco but Oh Brother Where Art Thou? sounds good. Had planned to watch The Thin Red Line too, Brian Lara is going to have to wait.
