What is your favourite sandwich?
This is not just a senseless post - I'm doing some research.
Include everything that is on it and specify the bread!
It would be great if you could include one that youd eat every day and one that you'd get as a special treat.
Not hot butties though.
Mine
Cheese ploughmans with tomato chutney and olives on wholegrain bread.
Smoked salmon and dill with cream cheese, salt and pepper on an onion bagel.

Re: What is your favourite sandwich?
Onions and ham on wholemeal.
Next question: Is Fink a worthy successor to Windass?

Re: What is your favourite sandwich?
In the name of research.
I like a dairylea with no butter on white bread; or extra mature cheedar cheese and branston pickle (the thick stuff not that sandwich pickle) on hovis granary. I probably eat those more than anyother.
For a treat I go to bagelman and have a Reuben:
Jalapeno bagel,
pastrami
swiss cheese
dill pickle
tomato
french's mustard
black pepper

Re: What is your favourite sandwich?
Hey favourite sandwich is a very pertinent subject matter and in my book quite a topical hot potato. Comparisons to Windass are unfair

Only teasing.
However, Windass sets a high standard for these searing emotional insights and I’m concerned Fink may be accused of plagiarism.

Re: What is your favourite sandwich?
i'm a simple man with simple tastes in sandwiches.
for a regular sandwich, i would choose egg salad (mayo, capers, dill, maybe a splash of mustard and lemon) on whole wheat bread. in the absence of egg, tuna or salmon are great substitutes.
special treat ? grilled cheese ! has to be good quality cheddar and lots of ketchup. maybe on fresh sourdough, if available.
mmmmmm.......

Sourdough! That shit is the nuts. You tasted Olive sourdough bread, nearly £3 a loaf?

Re: What is your favourite sandwich?
Everyday a tuna fish and cucumber on wholemeal bread.
Special treat, thickly cut cheddar cheese, ham and branston pickle on a white baguette. Salad optional, depending on my mood. That's the daddy right there.

Chicken, Bacon and mayo on brown, even though I don't really like mayo.

Re: What is your favourite sandwich?
Ham and mustard with olive oil spread on Wharburtons white bread.
As a treat? Dunno, would have to go with toasted ham and cheese with onion, done properly in a sandwich toaster. Too lazy to make it generally, so it's a treat when I do make it.
