Sky and Amir Khan... cheeky Bastards.

I can't believe that SKY are going to charge people £15 to watch Khan. What the fuck has he done to justify being the headline fight for a Box Office event?

SKY are just taking the piss now and I'm on the verge of cancelling my subscription with the robbing Cunts. Setanta have far better Boxing anyway and are also showing the Calzaghe fight.

Setanta has its faults , but I reckon you get more than your money's worth if you are a boxing fan

Khan is nowhere near a fighter worth a ppv deal yet in my opinion & this talk about him fighting Hatton in 12 months time is ridiculous.

Re: Sky and Amir Khan... cheeky Bastards.

Khan will have gone from being the most watched British boxer to the least watched (big name boxer, anyway). Not even Hamed was on PPV and he was a far bigger draw than Khan.

Why bother with sky when you have the internet to fulfil your sporting needs

Re: Sky and Amir Khan... cheeky Bastards.

I'm getting sick of being ripped by the cunts at Sky. Still haven't got Sky Sports back on after the summer as although they undoubtedly have the best footie coverage on tv, it's presented by such a load of thundercunts and in such a biased manner it makes my blood boil.

Khan in a £15 PPV bout is a fucking joke. I used to consider Sky value for money, I'm starting to think otherwise now. People should vote with their feet on this one. I can't see too many people paying that much to see a boxer who's done fuck all to justify that cost.

Re: Sky and Amir Khan... cheeky Bastards.

It's not just Khan that's on the PPV, the headline is Alex Arthur v Nicky Cook. The Fraud is also fighting so it's a decent bill. I'm actually going watching it at the MEN and it cost me £36 for a ticket (which was the cheapest and included booking fee etc) so I haven't got too much of a problem with Khan being on Box Office.

It will be a while before Khan headlines a Box Office PPV I reckon, he'll be on with other fighters who are better/have a bigger reputaton than him for a while yet. Especially when he gets beat on the 6th, this Prescott he's fighting is unbeaten in 19 fights, with 17 knockouts so he's no mug. I've not seen him fight before but that's an impressive record and it'll be sod's law for me to see Khan's first defeat the first time I watch him live.

Re: Sky and Amir Khan... cheeky Bastards.

SKY Box Office is a rip off anyway. You pay a fortune for SKY and SKY Sports, then the cheeky bastards charge you extra to watch certain thing despite them raking it in from Subscriptions.

Setanta are showing far better fights and don't do Box Office.

That's it, I'm fucking SKY off. I'm sick of paying out a fortune to that Australian twat and he can take a running jump.

They're joint headlining apparently, just had a look on Frank Warren's website.

Re: Sky and Amir Khan... cheeky Bastards.

hatton - khan would be ace. we've seen the little guy win these fights so many times its unreal but ricky would clobber him. ricky isn't as slow as some of the other big boys and will only need to land a good 3 or 4. khan has got some work to put in before then mind..... how much will he need to put on?

still, it would be boss to see khans corner scraping his smug face off the canvas.

Khan would have no chance against Hatton, it would literally be man v boy. Khan is deluded if he thinks he could win, absolutely no chance in hell.

is that not what khan needs? i think he's scared to gain weight and mix it with the big boys. he's only ever faught farts and thinks he's the worlds greatest for knocking them all out, after he knocked out about his 3rd he should of stepped up to fight better fighters but he's in a comfort zone boxing with meffs.

He's only 21, there's no rush for him to fight the best. He needed to learn his trade or he would have had his arse handed to him the first time he boxed anyone decent. I think this next fight will be a step up in class and hopefully he'll be good enough to handle it (although I have my doubts).

If he rushes in fighting people too good for him it'll ruin his career. He should take it slowly with the aim of being the best in his mid-twenties.

Re: Sky and Amir Khan... cheeky Bastards.

Did anybody weaken and order it. ?

Have put a separate small bet on Prescott in each of the first 4 rounds at 80/1 , 80/1 , 66/1 &66/1. Don't fancy the guy if he doesn't do the business before that. One of the scousers on the bill said in the Echo this week that he had been sparring with him and that Prescott looked ' fairly limited but with a good left hook'.

Still can't believe Sky want £15 for this though , and despite what Ian Sea ( enjoy your night btw ), whose boxing opinions I enjoy reading , says - Sky are barely mentioning the Cook / Arthur fight in the lead up.
