That's fantastic, especially considering you're working full time and the shit you've had on this year. You should be really proud of yourself!

Re: The Good News Thread

I don't really post here much but I'm very excited at the moment so just thought I'd jump onto this thread, if I may.

After finishing Uni as a (very) mature student in May (2:1 in Fine Art, w00t!) I've been doing a succession of shite jobs during every available hour and I now have the money to move to Valencia which I shall be doing a week on Saturday to finally be reunited with my señorita bonita after living apart for a year.

I don't know if I'm coming or going, if the truth be told as I'm reet excited.

Passport: check. Speedos: check.

Sweet.

Wrong mate. In keeping with the spirit of this thread, practically everyone's first year is shite marks-wise compared to their 2nd and 3rd, where things get serious. Going by that you'll breeze a first if you carry on the good work. What you studying?

Re: The Good News Thread

Studying English lit and lang. Got my first serious language module in October, those are the ones I am interested in. Exploring the English language and tracing it from origin to today. Then looking at where it is going to go.

It should be awesome!

I just took a humungous shit at work. It took 14 minutes 27 seconds to log that log. I feel a stone lighter.

Re: The Good News Thread

This morning, I found £20 in the inside pocket of my leathers.

Look out, Murco garage on the way home later, I'm in for a full tank of unleaded and enough peanut M&Ms to start a small confectionary war.

Re: The Good News Thread

I got given 80 teabags this morning. Which is not the greatest thing ever, but I really like brews, so it was excellent news for me. Now I just hope its someones birthday in work and I'll get some free cake.

Pah, its not like you got 80 free teabags is it?

You could give you children away anytime. Its not that hard. Medical science, desperate wanna be parents, social services and cockle picking gangs, most will even pay you something for your kids. Try getting 80 free teabags, not too easy is it.

i spent £30 in tesco's for a jar of coffee last week, a couple of weeks before, it was £40 and get 40 tea bags AND some choc chip cookies... and as i was shopping anyway, it technically was sort of free... and the only thing i used out of that lot was the cookies...

Are you suggesting we all plan our own funerals to get freebies?

Damn good idea.
