Im also 18 (19 a week today so get those cards and presents delivered). I found when I turned about 15 (when there were very few good recent bands out) I started listening to stuff from the 90s and 80s. Then as you do that you get listening to even older stuff than that.

Then we have suddenly had a surge of good bands coming onto the scene. So I had all these great new bands to listen to, and all this absolutely brilliant older stuff aswell.

Hamstrung wins on the last song alone, the Aretha Franklin track helped alot as well. Both of you stayed true to the music you like so massive ammount of respect for that.

I've always liked the older stuff (mainly from the 80's when I was younger) but tbh I've found out about quite a few of the bands I listen to now by coming on here. So thanks GF

Ooo nice last song Hamstrung. Really liked that one. I must say the only song I've heard here is the REM one. Thanks to both, I really liked that one by The Specials but didn't like the Lemonheads version of luka.

Ta, chaps. That was a most enjoyable listen all round.

I enjoyed both of the flavours (barring Hammy's first) but his others mos def did enough to seal it for me. I think if you want to seal the vote you have to get the blood pumping.

Lovely, emotive fifth song, Mr Knives, and good use of the REM but Ham got soul in dem dar titties.

In conclusion: I shall vote for Mr Strung.

Close but Specials win 2-0
I love Evam but I love the original and the cover isnt too good in my opinion. And then theres the Violent Femmes to easily make it 2-1
The editors need to have some beef behind them imo (ha, thats before I heart the next track! How wierd). The Beef easily wins. 2-2!
Ah man, sorry Hammy but oldie REM beats whatever that is.
3-2 to the Knives. Well played chaps.
