Any other CSI junkies out there?
I'm worried that I'm the only one who thinks CSI is fucking class. The Vegas one is the best and that Grissom fella is fucking boss. And then the Miami one has this fine piece of woman in it :
You can't lose.

Re: Any other CSI junkies out there?
Dipped into it once or twice but it's not really my cup of tea, everyone seems too super-slick for my liking. The reason I like stuff like the wire is because it's more realistic, i.e the coppers more often than not sit there getting pissed in the office and avoiding phonecalls.

Re: Any other CSI junkies out there?
It started off as a fairly entertaining show but all three franchises are running out of steam and CSI: Miami is really off the rails. That season opener with Horatio kneeling in front of the Christ statue in Brazil whilst the camera panned around from above was so pompous it was untrue. That was it for me for all three shows then.

It's too formulaic for me. I can't ever get lost in it because it's not realistic.

To be honest the only one I watch regularly is Vegas, I didn't find any character in NY to be as entertaining as any of the main 5 in Vegas. And as you said I went off Miami around that time. The blonde one is still a bit of alright.
And eh you're not a Yank are you?

Why would I be a Yank?

Sorry that sounded awfully cuntlike on my part. I was reading a thing in the paper yesterday about how American culture and phrases had infiltrated ours. Examples they gave were referring to "programmes" as "shows" and "series" as "seasons". Its a non issue really, just had me curious.

Re: Any other CSI junkies out there?
A series is, and always has, for me been a few episodes like 6. A season is something that runs for a few months, like the course of the course of a season (i.e. winter). Don't be so paranoid about Americanisms.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you

I'll watch the Vegas one when it's on but not the others.
Can't stand the Miami one with the ginger twat.

Re: Any other CSI junkies out there?
It was great at the start but has beconme too stylish for it's own good. Never liked the CSI Miami one though. I keep hoping that that tit Horatio gets murdered.
Reminds me of the way Miami Vice went years ago when it ran out of ideas (I'm showing my age now!)

I always think if you like c.s.i just watch that programme the real c.s.i, surely that must be better.

Horatio ruled.
Great drinking game- everytime he touches his sunglasses do a shooter.

Re: Any other CSI junkies out there?
I quite like the New York one, whilst Vegas has gone down a bit now, and Gil Grissom is leaving so that would leave Marg Helgenberger as the only reason to watch ( which is a pretty good reason for sure )
Miami is just preposterous tosh, they turn up at a blood drenched crime scene in Hummers wearing Prada and Armani and dont get a mark on them. And all the baddies come from "Rent A Hispanic Bandit Inc."
I saw the Merseyside CSI attend a crime scene once, they had blue boilersuits and a white Fiesta van. somewhat different.

The first 2 seasons/series of Miami Vice were class.

Re: Any other CSI junkies out there?
One of my mates is a police detective and he says that although the CSI characters are obviously unrealistic, the way they work isn't.
