The heaps loads of condolences on Ghostie, CrouchieBoy and their mum thread
Our mom's house caught on fire today. Thankfully no one is injured, but her bathroom is toast (literally), her bedroom is severely damaged. My room was spared from any fire damage but the entire room has a ton of smoke damage. Ghostie's room made out alright as he has nothing in there.

So mom is temporarily homeless, our clothes are destroyed and I am in Dallas fucking Texas.

That's rough, my condolences to you and your family. Glad to hear that your mom was unharmed, and I hope the irreplaceable things, like photos, also came through unscathed.

i just had to google to see who she was.... wasn't she a hair dresser before she was famous?

Patrick told me yesterday, really sorry to hear about that Jeff mate.

Similar thing happened to us two weeks before Christmas in 2006. But my brother was asleep in his bedroom that caught fire, and my mum was downstairs. They both got out OK fortunately but the whole of the upstairs had to get redone. I came home and found two fire engines putting my room out.
